Thank goodness for friends!

Chrissy kept Emma while I went to work today, YEAH! What a life saver. I couldn't get anyone to take my floor time, so I asked Chrissy if she would mind keeping Emma for me. Mind you, Chrissy has two children of her own ages 3 & 10 months. So, Thank you sooo much for helping me! Here are some pictures from her day with the Standifer's. Emma absoulutely loves Madelyn, she says "Madelyn is my best friend", it is so cute! Hope you are all having a great day!

What a nice weekend

Ove the 4th of July holiday we were all really sick, so this weekend we grilled out and let Emma do some fire crackers. She loved it! Here are some pics of her holding some sparklers. Too cute!
What a good Monday!
We have had the nicest day, no stress or work to have to worry about today! I called Melissa & Chrissy and we took the kids to my Aunt's pool today. The kids loved it and Emma even went down the big pool slide! We ran and got some lunch and went to Melissa's to eat and visit for a little while. I love nice relaxing days like this! Hope that you all had just as nice a day!
Weight update: I guess that my weight fluctuation shouldn't be such a frustration to me I was 4 pounds heavier yesterday than today. I am going to get a better scale too. I can get on it and it will not say the same thing twice in the same 5 minutes, AAAAA! I am trying though, just had cerael for dinner tonight!!!

Summertime

I am finally posting a new blog. It has been a year since I have even been on this blogspot! I made a few updates and put some new pics on of Emma. It has been such a nice summer this year! It is just now getting into the triple digits and we have taken advantage of that by going to the pool the past couple of weekends. Emma is such an outdoorsy girl. It is very hard to keep her in when it is so hot outside. Last night we were at Chrissy's house and her and Madelyn got to play in the water sprinkler. I remember doing that when I was little and it doesn't seem like it was that long ago when Heather and I use to do that! Where does the time go?
Speaking of time I am going to be 30 on my next birthday in February. So, my goal is to lose 10 lbs by my 30th birthday. I will let you all know how that is going! We got a bowflex in the front bedroom of our house and it is soooo handy being able to come in here and work out when ever you like. I have to figure out all of the workouts but once I get this figured out I will be a buff babe!

Emma ate dirt, yuk!

What a gorgeous day today was! I love spring. Today Emma, Tom & I worked outside all day. I got on the tractor and filled the bucket up so many times with wet leaves, sticks and acorns I think that my arms might fall off! Well, after dinner Emma was still wanting to be outside so out we go. She falls several times and is so filthy. Well I am moving the big rocks in front of the carport and I look over at her and she has this horrible yucky face. I see dirt start coming out of her mouth! She ate dirt and did not like it! It was so funny. Maybe next time she won't do that!

Well. Like I said, I start with the best intentions and then fizzle out! It is now April 25th and I am finally getting back on here and blogging again! Could it get any colder outside? Today it is 58 degrees outside. Emma and I tried to outside and play for a while but after about 15 minutes it was too windy and cool. We have new baby kittens that are about 5 weeks old. They are so cute! So, I am sitting with them in my lap and Emma smiling walks over and hits them (she is thinking that she is petting, I think) and their little ears go out and they look at her in terror. I do feel sorry for any little animal with a child around!
I painted my entry way. After many months pouring over what color to paint I had a vision why not the color of a pomegrante? I love a bright vibrant color, why not? So, I go to Sherwin Williams and pick up a paper sample called Bouginvalle. (I think that is how it is spelt.) Low and behold I jump out on a limb and just do it. I love it but Thomas walks in and asks, Why would you paint the entry way hot pink? Well, heck! You would look at it and think it is hot pink! No, I correct him, it is Bouginvellia. Well, looks hot pink to me. O.k. the paint has dried and it is bright and it has a major pinky coral color to it. Yeah, I must admit it looks hot pink! DARN! Oh well. I still love it for now, and considering I hate to paint this was a monumental thing for me so it will be hot pink for a long time! hahaha!

Let's see how long until I fizzle out!

I have the tendency to start out with the best intentions and all of a sudden, it is out the window. I am really going to try and keep this updated, atleast weekly, so that I can feel like I am a part of the world. Currently, I am not a social person! Between, real estate, Emma, Thomas and this house I am pulled so many different ways. I am hoping that this will keep me in touch with all of you!

Well, as many of you know I am now a stay-at-home mom/Realtor/Wife etc... You know how that goes. But, I am loving the stay at home mom job. I can not believe how fast time goes by and how quickly children grow. Emma turned 1 on the March 2nd. It does not seem like it has been a year ago that we had her! She is walking extremely well and trying to run. She knows body parts, mama, dada, can identify the deer, bobcat and pig and many more wonderful things. She has hazel eyes and light brown hair and 4 little teeth.

Thomas is doing well. He is going to start Lake patrol part time this Spring and is looking forward to getting started. He will still be patrolling on the road but is really excited to get this new job started. He is sad b/c there is not as much time to hunt & fish like he likes to do, but over all he is doing great.

That is my life's update for time. I am so tired so I will go to bed and write again soon with more delicious information!
